Requirements for opening bank cards for school-age children will be developed.

On April 30, 2025, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Measures Aimed at Further Strengthening Activities to Combat Crimes Committed with the Help of Information Technologies" was signed.
This resolution is an important document in ensuring security in the digital sphere, and it also contains clauses providing for the introduction of new procedures for the financial activities of minors.
According to the resolution, the following measures regulating the participation of minors in the banking system have been defined:
- development and implementation into practice of relevant requirements for opening accounts and bank cards of minors in banks;
- banks establish the practice of informing parents about suspicious (fraud) transactions related to their minor children.
This resolution is an important initiative aimed at the legal regulation of the participation of minors in financial relations closely related to digital technologies.
The measures defined in it will serve to protect minors from cybercrime, increase the responsibility of parents, and ensure transparency and security in the banking system.
