Uzbekistan has been recognized as a country that has completely eradicated child labor.

At the International Labor Conference in Geneva, Uzbekistan's experience in combating child and forced labor was recognized as a model.
As reported by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, within the framework of the 113th session of the International Labour Conference, a special conference was held in connection with June 12 - World Day against Child Labour.
At the event, the experience of Uzbekistan as a country that has completely eradicated child and forced labor in a short period of time among 187 countries participating in the International Labour Conference was presented.
The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Chairperson of the National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Decent Work, T. Narbaeva, delivered a report on "Uzbekistan's Experience in Eliminating Child Labor."
In his report, the Chairman of the National Commission noted that the country's firm position on child and forced labor, as well as the ratification of international documents, including the main conventions of the International Labour Organization and the Protocol to Convention No. 29, have become a solid legal basis for reforms in this area.
It was noted that the new edition of the Constitution and the Labor Code are aimed at completely eradicating child labor, and guaranteeing the social protection of every citizen is at the center of state policy aimed at enhancing human dignity.
At the conference, the work being carried out in Uzbekistan to ratify the relevant conventions of the International Labour Organization, improve national legislation based on international standards, strengthen measures of responsibility for child and forced labor, and strengthen institutional foundations was highly appreciated.
