The director, who involved students in the improvement of the school grounds, was fined 20 million soums.
It was reported that the Children's Ombudsman's Secretariat received an appeal from citizen Sh.N., a resident of the Zangiata district of the Tashkent region.
In the appeal, it was stated that in an educational institution located in the Zangiata district, cases of involving students in forced labor (such as whitewashing trees, watering the land, snow removal) were allowed by the school director and some teachers, and officials were asked to take measures.
After that, based on the request of the Children's Ombudsman, this situation was studied by the Tashkent Regional Department of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction.
According to the results of the study, forced labor was allegedly allowed as a measure of educational punishment for students.
In connection with this violation, an administrative fine of 20,600,000 soums was imposed on the school administration under Part 1 of Article 51 of the Administrative Offenses Code (administrative coercion to labor).
