It turned out that more than 60 percent of teachers failed the 2025 certification.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education published statistics on this year's qualification category tests. It turned out that 64.4% of teachers failed to achieve sufficient results in the tests conducted twice this year.

In 2025, 353,604 teachers participated in qualification category tests conducted twice (in spring and autumn) with the participation of teachers, of which 22,311 were awarded the highest qualification category, 43,445 - the first, 60,055 - the second, and 13,371 - the qualification category of a specialist.

As a result, a total of 125,811 teachers who maintained and improved their qualification categories were issued appropriate qualification category certificates. At the same time, 227,793 teachers did not pass the certification.

6,553 teachers were issued qualification category certificates directly, that is, without certification. About 48,600 teachers with relevant national and internationally recognized certificates were paid bonuses in the prescribed manner.

For information: This year's certification tests caused even greater discontent among teachers. In particular, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education has been repeatedly sued by teachers dissatisfied with the certification. In the past court cases, a decision was made in favor of the ministry.

Also, starting from 2025, Government Resolution No. VM-740 of November 26, 2025, officially restricted the participation of teachers in the appeal for certification.
