Alisher Kadyrov, the leader of the "National Revival" party, noted that there are disproportionately many Russian-language schools and TV channels for a small number of Russian citizens.
The leader of the party proposed to legalize the norm of teaching primary education in the native language in Uzbekistan and said that these issues will be discussed at the upcoming meetings of the faction.
"Recently, we have heard nothing but chauvinistic statements in Russian... In this case, we need to think about practical measures. For example, Russian language is disproportionately used in education and television for Russian citizens, who do not make up 3% of the population. This imbalance must be corrected," Kadyrov said.
