It's no secret that among school graduates, they want to celebrate May 25, the "Last Call" day in an unusual way, and go and bathe in various water bodies.
For example, on May 25, the last day of the last school year, an unfortunate incident happened with 3 schoolchildren.
On this day, at 2:00 p.m., students went to bathe in the "Zarafshan" river in Pakhtachi district of Samarkand region and drowned due to their carelessness.
As a result of search operations carried out by FVB and IIB staff, the body of 1 child was found on the same day. The bodies of the other two were found two days later.
Parents are also not vigilant about this. They cannot properly explain to children that they should not go to places where it is not possible to bathe. Unfortunately, children do such things at a young age.
Local authorities are partly to blame here. In fact, hokimities, in cooperation with emergency authorities, should identify the places where water accidents (deaths of people) often occur from May 1 to September 15 every year.
It is necessary to install signs forbidding bathing along the coast, on the condition of carrying out explanatory work among local residents and vacationers in these areas.
