"President's gifts" will be delivered to first-grade students until August 20

Today, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education organized a press tour dedicated to sending "President's gifts" to first-grade students to the regions and promoting the processes of preparation for the new academic year.

At it, the participants of the event were acquainted with the sending and receiving of "President's gifts" to places, preparation for the new academic year and activities of preschool educational organizations on the example of school No. 126 and school No. 204 in Tashkent.

According to the information provided by the Ministry's Information Service to xalqtaliminfo.uz, in the 2024-2025 academic year, more than 525 thousand teachers are expected to educate more than 6.5 million students in 10,182 schools.

In the new academic year, it is planned to enroll 719 366 school-age children in the 1st grade. The "President's Gift," consisting of 12 types of educational tools, which will be issued by the "Supply and Logistics Service" enterprise to students admitted to the 1st grade, will be delivered to the regions by August 10, and by August 20 to all schools in accordance with the number of students admitted.

These 12 educational tools consist of a portfolio, notebook, picture book, watercolor, colored paper, pencil case, ballpoint pen, colored pencil, pencil, plasticine, glue, eraser.

In order to provide children admitted to the 1st grade with a timely and complete educational "President's Gift," each admitted student is included in the electronic system (adm.maktab.uz).

During the press tour, it was noted that in the new academic year, the main focus will be on ensuring quality education. For this purpose, in the 2023/2024 academic year, the teaching and assessment system of Presidential and specialized schools was tested in 500 schools in the republic, and positive results were achieved. This experiment will be introduced in an additional 1,000 schools from the new academic year.

Also, in the last academic year, 500 foreign specialists were attracted to schools, and effective results were achieved in teaching foreign languages to students, and this process will continue in the new academic year.

In 2024, according to the state program, construction and repair work will be carried out in 608 schools (construction of 30 new schools, reconstruction of 518 and overhaul of 60), more than 180 thousand new student places will be created, and 95 new gyms will be built.

The direction of preschool education was also emphasized. In the 2024-2025 academic year, more than 2.3 million (74.6%) children aged 3-7 years will be enrolled in 37,548 preschool educational institutions (6867 state, 835 non-state, 1,462 PPPs, and 28,384 family).

By the end of the year, it is planned to increase the coverage of preschool education to 76 percent, coverage of children aged 6 years with the system of preparation for school to 96 percent.

During today's press tour, the participants were familiarized with the preparation for the new academic year and the activities of preschool educational organizations on the example of sending and receiving "President's gifts" to places, schools No. 126 and State Educational Institution No. 204 in Tashkent.

School No. 126 in Chilanzar district:

The school has a capacity of 1,050 pupils and in the new academic year, more than 1,900 pupils will continue their education. The school is fully prepared for the new academic year. The school has 58 classrooms, 3 computer rooms, 3 laboratories and 8 foreign language rooms, a library, activists' (170 seats) and gyms, a kitchen (120 seats).

In 2024, 175 children are expected to enter the 1st grade.The school employs 117 teachers, 30 of whom have the highest and first qualification categories. In order to ensure quality education at the school, special work is being carried out to improve the professional skills of teachers and improve the quality of education. In particular, the number of teachers with categories increased by 14. 17 teachers have received national and international certificates.

Educational organization for School No. 204 of Chilanzar district:

The preschool educational organization is designed for 840 places, and today the preschool educational organization educates 740 children (boys - 338, girls - 402) by 44 teachers. In the 2024-2025 academic year, it is planned to cover 98 children.
