The weight of textbooks for primary school students should not exceed 300 grams

The relevant government decree approved the "General Technical Regulations for Determining the Safety Requirements of Printed Products for Educational Institutions."
According to it, the publication weight for textbooks is:
- 300 grams for grades 1-4;
- 400 grams for grades 5-6.
- 500 grams for grades 7-9;
- For grades 10-11, it should not exceed 600 grams.
Also, in the literature for grades 1-4, colored inks, font markings, drawn fonts, and multi-column typing are not used. In particular, it is also impossible to use narrow fonts in educational publications for general secondary education and secondary specialized and vocational education.
