If the former school director is not elected as a deputy, will he be reinstated?
Question
I have a friend who is a member of parliament. Before becoming a deputy, he worked as a school principal. What would happen if he did not win re-election without getting enough votes in the elections today?

According to Article 16 of the law on the status of a deputy of the Legislative Chamber and a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, deputies are guaranteed to be employed after the expiration of their term of office. After the expiration of the term of office, a deputy may be given a job in another position, including a higher position, with his consent.
In case of return of a deputy to the previous place of work (position), the employment contract with a person who was accepted for the position of a deputy is terminated in accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 168 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The conclusion is that if your friend does not pass the election, he will be given the position of director at his previous job or a higher position at his own discretion.
