Physical education teachers will now take both a test and a practical exam to obtain a category

The resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to fundamentally improve the teaching of physical education in general secondary educational institutions and the development of professional activities of teachers of this subject" was adopted. This was reported by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
From now on, a new procedure for assigning a category to physical education teachers (2 stages) will be developed, and the first stage (testing processes) will be organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the second stage (practical examination) will be organized by the Ministry of Sports.
Also, according to the decision:
Until March 1, 2025:
the list of sports types is formed by giving priority to mobile games, Olympic and mass sports by age category of primary, middle and senior students;
Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year:
educational and methodological manuals for physical education teachers for grades 5-11 will be developed based on state educational standards;
in order to make the free time of students meaningful, the activities of school sports clubs will be gradually established in each school;
every year, traditionally, three-stage "Olympiad of Five Initiatives" sports competitions are organized among schoolchildren in mini-football, volleyball, athletics, chess, checkers, table tennis, streetball, and vorkout;
Until June 1, 2025:
a rating system will be developed based on the participation of schoolchildren in sports competitions, the activities of school sports clubs, and the level of student involvement in sports;
teachers of physical culture of schools with the best results based on the results of the rating are awarded with industry awards of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Sports;
Until May 1, 2025:
a base for preparing students for sports competitions is being created at the "Lochin" recreation center in the Zaamin district for members of school sports clubs;
Until July 1, 2025:
a national system for assessing the level of knowledge and professional skills of physical education teachers will be developed and implemented in practice;
Also, in accordance with this decision:
at the end of each academic year, a system will be established to determine the level of physical fitness of students by grade;
for members of school sports clubs with high results, practical mastery classes are organized in state sports and educational institutions with the participation of winners and prize-winners of prestigious international sports competitions;
master classes will be organized at the Bakhodir Jalolov School of Sportsmanship, the Oksana Chusovitina Specialized School of Gymnastics, and popular sports facilities in our country for the members of the school's sports club who have achieved the best results.
