When will the procedure for assigning categories to music and physical education teachers in a new order begin?

It is planned that music and physical education teachers will be divided into two categories. The 1st stage will be held by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the 2nd stage - by the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Now the question is: will this new system in two stages be implemented from the next academic year (2025-2026) or will it be implemented during the upcoming spring certification?

Please help clarify. The reason is that we prepare accordingly, and if it is suddenly introduced into practice, the possibility of passing the certification may be reduced.

On November 15 of this year, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed Resolution No. PP-391 "On measures to fundamentally improve the teaching of musical culture in general education schools and the development of professional activities of teachers of this subject."

According to the decision, the procedure for assigning categories to music culture teachers will be developed in two stages, the first stage (testing processes) will be organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the second stage (practical (creative) examination) will be organized by the Ministry of Culture.

According to the new, two-stage procedure for assigning categories to physical education teachers, the first stage (testing processes) is planned to be organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the second stage (practical examination) is planned to be organized by the Ministry of Sports.

Now, when it comes to the introduction of this procedure, paragraph 5 of this decision sets the task of the relevant ministries to develop a procedure for assigning qualification categories to music culture teachers within three months.

Therefore, if the new procedure is fully developed in February, it can be implemented in practice from the spring certification.

However, to implement this procedure, it is necessary to make additions and changes to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 572 of September 17, 2021.

Even if changes were made to the document in February, the new procedure may not be applied to teachers participating in the spring certification.

Since January 6 of this year, registration and submission of applications for participation in qualification tests held in January-June have begun. Teachers who submit documents in accordance with the current procedure will not be certified in the new order.

The most accurate conclusions and specific information about when the new procedure will be introduced and in relation to whom will be applied will be indicated in the amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 17, 2021 No. 572.
