According to the Statistics Agency, at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year, the total number of teachers (excluding part-time) teaching in general secondary education organizations in our country amounted to 564.9 thousand people.

This indicator increased by 78.3 thousand people compared to the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year.

Number of teachers (excluding part-time) teaching in general secondary education organizations by year:

• 486.6 thousand people at the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year;

• 508.2 thousand people at the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year;

• 510.0 thousand people at the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year;

• 521.6 thousand people at the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year;

• 547.7 thousand people at the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year;

• 564.9 thousand people at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year.
