What news awaits teachers?

Today, February 28, a press conference was held at the Information and Mass Communications Agency on "Details of amendments and additions to some government decisions in the field of preschool and school education."

Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education Sardor Radjabov and responsible employees of the ministry took part in it.

At the press conference, information was presented on the changes and additions made to some government decisions in the field of preschool and school education by the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

In particular, according to the corresponding amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 572 of September 17, 2021, starting this year, psychologists of state preschool and general education organizations will also be certified.

Teachers of other subjects who have a certificate are also awarded points during the attestation

Now, along with foreign language teachers, subject teachers who have a certificate of knowledge of a general education subject at least at the B+ level (except for primary school teachers) will be exempted from the first stage of qualification tests and will receive a maximum score of 80 points (but they must participate in the second stage test).

Teachers will receive a 70% bonus

After the accreditation of the certification system by authorized foreign organizations, a bonus of 70% of the basic tariff rate is established for teachers who have scored 86 points or higher in the certification.

In this case, the additional bonus is paid for two years only to teachers who participated in the qualification test (at both stages) and achieved (or retained) the highest and first qualification categories.

Music and physical education teachers will undergo a two-stage attestation

For teachers of the subject "Musical Culture" of general education schools, the first stage (test) tests are conducted by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the second stage (practical (creative) tests) - by the Ministry of Culture;

The first stage (test) exams for physical education teachers of general education schools are organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the second stage (practical exam) is organized by the Ministry of Sports.

Teachers of retirement age will also be subject to mandatory certification

Until March 1, 2025, the following teachers who were not involved in the next mandatory certification, whose certification period has expired and the current qualification category has been retained, will not be involved in the mandatory certification and will be paid for according to the current qualification category:

• maintained this category for 15 years after receiving the highest qualification category and had continuous work experience;

• with 25 years or more of work experience in pedagogical activity;

• no more than 5 years remain until retirement;

• who has reached retirement age engaged in pedagogical activity.

Also, teachers who meet one of the following requirements are directly assigned a qualification category until the established deadline:

• with 25 years or more of work experience in pedagogical activity;

• for teachers who have not more than 5 years remaining for retirement - their current qualification category;

• to teachers who have retained this category for 15 years after receiving the highest qualification category and have continuous work experience - the highest qualification category.

Starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, teachers of music culture and physical education, teachers of retirement age, and teachers without higher education working in educational organizations will be certified in the prescribed manner.

The procedure for awarding ministerial allowances to teachers has been changed

According to the amendments introduced to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 425 of August 2, 2022, starting next year, applicants for a bonus from the Minister's Fund will be selected in the prescribed manner from among subject teachers, educators of preschool educational organizations who have received at least 80 percent of the total score at the first stage of the qualification exams held in the previous year.
