Teachers who report harmful habits of students can now be rewarded.

If schoolchildren show signs of suspicious or negative behavior, a mechanism for timely notification of parents will be established.  The process is carried out based on the principles of confidentiality and reliability, without infringing upon the honor and dignity of children.

This is stipulated by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 3, 2025, No. UP-207.

According to the decree, starting from January 2026, a mechanism will be established for teachers and inspector-psychologists of general education schools to inform parents about harmful habits of students.

Starting in February 2026, a new system will be developed and implemented to incentivize teachers who identify students prone to committing drug crimes and report them to law enforcement officers.

At the same time, in order to create the possibility of anonymous reporting of students and pupils involved in drug crimes, special boxes will be installed in all schools and higher educational institutions, which will be sealed by the internal affairs bodies, and the practice of checking incoming reports will be established.

In one school in all district (city) centers, demonstration corners will be organized to highlight the negative consequences of drug addiction and drug crime.

Starting from December 2025, as an experiment, a risk group will be identified in 10 schools in Tashkent by conducting an anonymous survey of students in grades 9-11.

By March 2026, the production of express drug tests designed to detect the use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances will be launched in Uzbekistan, creating an opportunity for parents to voluntarily check their children's drug use status.

For the convenience of all citizens, local express tests will be regularly sold without a prescription in pharmacies.

In addition, preventive conversations with the participation of parents will be organized, and psychological counseling centers and helplines for students will be established. In particular, it was decided to hold a competition, quizzes, and forums among students on the topic "Healthy lifestyle - a shield against drug addiction."
