Previously, teachers who wanted to work as a school director were required to have at least 2 years of work experience in a leadership position along with pedagogical experience.
That is, an ordinary teacher was required to have worked in a leadership position for a certain period of time in order to become a school director. Besides that, there were some other obstacles. We cannot say that there is absolutely no corruption in the appointment of directors.
Now, according to the new regulations, even an ordinary school teacher with 5 years of teaching experience can apply for the position of director. Of course, for this they will have to attend a one-month management training course and receive a certificate. This was regulated by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 681 dated December 25, 2023.
Now, the candidates for the directorship are recommended to the directorship by the "Council of Directors", which is directly accountable to the Ministry of Pre-school and School Education, and not by the deputies, the governorship, or the heads of regional departments.
The most important thing is that the entire interview process of the candidates for directorship is recorded on video and stored for one year. This ensures a more transparent interview process.
The "Board of Directors" does not obey the governor, nor the heads of the regional preschool and school education department. The recommendations developed by the "Board of Directors" are mandatory even for the territorial divisions of the ministry.
Therefore, applicants who want to run for the post of director will no longer be afraid of artificial obstacles.
