450 students were poisoned in Kazakhstan
460 children were poisoned in school No. 8 in the Munayli district of the Mangistov region of Kazakhstan. The first cases of poisoning were observed on September 6.
Initially, 58 victims were reported, and by September 9, their number had reached 460.
Of these, 83 were hospitalized, and two are in intensive care. The condition of all victims is assessed as stable with positive dynamics. Two children were transferred from the intensive care unit to the general ward, the report said.
The government said that all children arriving with symptoms of poisoning would receive the necessary medical care, including psychological support. According to the order of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov, within a month, compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements will be monitored in all school kitchens in the republic.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 304 of the Criminal Code (violation of sanitary rules or hygiene standards) regarding the mass poisoning of children.
