Sardor Rakhimboyev, head of the Department for Organizing the Process of Assigning Qualification Categories to Teachers at the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, spoke with "Xalq ta'lim Info" about the issue of providing a 70% bonus to teachers who have obtained a qualification certificate based on international standards.
A 70 percent bonus is being implemented for teachers who have obtained a qualification certificate based on international standards. Cooperation with international organizations has already begun. After the system passes international accreditation, teachers who have received a qualification certificate with a score of 86 points based on these requirements will be able to receive a 70% bonus.
- How will the 70% bonus be paid to teachers who have a qualification certificate based on international standards? For example, if a teacher passes this certification, from which monthly salary is the 70% bonus calculated?
- Currently, the salaries for second category, first category, and highest category are known. The seventy percent bonus is applied to their designated monthly salaries. However, this doesn't mean that a teacher who scores 62 points cannot enter the second category. For example, if I am a specialist teacher and participate in the certification, scoring 62 points, I will still receive the second category. I'll get the salary specified for that position. If I participate in the certification as a specialist and, let's say, score ninety points, I will receive both the second category and the second category salary plus a seventy percent bonus.
- So, there will be two opportunities at the same time?
Yes, those who are capable will simply move to the second category, while those who are even stronger will move to the second category with the seventy percent bonus. In other words, it is planned to apply a 70 percent bonus to all those who score above 86 points, regardless of their category.
- In that case, wouldn't it be necessary to take a separate test only for that 70% bonus?
No, it wouldn't. The teacher only needs to participate in the certification test for this purpose. Those who are exempt from certification are welcome to attend an extraordinary certification.
Also, teachers who have an international or national certificate will have to participate in an extraordinary certification to receive the 70% bonus.
All these opportunities are for our teachers. This is about increasing teachers' salaries, but only for those who are knowledgeable and working on self-improvement. I've been observing teachers since the spring certification. They have worked tirelessly on themselves. To acquire new century skills, they improved their knowledge, and if necessary, many even took paid courses. Wasn't that our goal, to educate the teacher? I mean, we are achieving our objective.
If someone doesn't work on self-improvement, unfortunately, according to the regulations, we will have to part ways with them. Those who work on themselves will not only be able to improve their category but also, if we pass international accreditation from the next academic year, teachers will be able to receive a 70% bonus as well. That is, if all teachers who participated in the test to obtain the second, first or highest category score above 86 points, they will be able to receive a 70 percent bonus in addition to the qualification category.
