Based on the sequence of indicators in paragraph 15 of the Regulation on the procedure for compiling classes and forming tariff lists in general education institutions, teachers with preferences can be assigned maximum number of class hours.
According to the "Instruction of the class teacher of a general secondary educational institution," approved by the order of the Minister of Preschool and School Education No. 190 dated June 27, 2023, the class teacher is selected based on the following criteria:
- have at least 3 years of pedagogical work experience;
- working as a primary worker at the school;
- possessing managerial skills;
- capable of a responsible approach in the process of working with students;
- classroom leadership in elementary grades is assigned to teachers assigned to elementary grades.
In general education institutions, teachers working on an hourly (including part-time) basis are not allowed to lead classes.
As we can see, the criteria for selecting class leaders do not specify the number of hours the teacher teaches.
That is, it is completely irrelevant how many hours a teacher has taken to lead the class. The conclusion is that a teacher who has 30 hours of lessons can also lead the class.
