A 70% bonus will be awarded to teachers with the highest and first qualification categories who have scored 86 points.

The Cabinet of Ministers signed a resolution "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Decisions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aimed at Improving the System of Attestation, Professional Certification, and Incentives for Teachers."

This was announced by the Minister of Preschool and School Education, Hilola Umarova.

According to the new procedure, the qualification category is awarded to teachers who participated in the test trials (at both stages), achieved (or retained) the highest and first qualification categories, and scored 86 points or higher.

In this case, pedagogical staff who have received a qualification certificate based on international standards are paid an additional payment in the amount of 70 percent of the current tariff rates.

For example, if the monthly salary of a teacher of the highest category is 4 million soums, and this teacher also receives an international certificate, then an additional 70 percent, that is, 2 million 800 thousand soums, must be added to his salary.

In this case, the total monthly salary of a teacher with a special qualification certificate of the highest category, corresponding to international standards, will be 4 million + 2 million 800 thousand = 6 million 800 thousand soums.

Another innovation in the certification of teachers has been introduced

Now, teachers who have a certificate of knowledge of a general education subject issued by the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications are exempt from the qualification test for the first stage of the next mandatory certification (specialized subject and professional standard).
