The director who collected money from teachers for "OpenBudget" has been fired

Recently, an employment contract was terminated with the director of one of the schools in the Kuva district, who demanded deductions of 700,000 soums from teachers' monthly salaries for collecting votes in "OpenBudget." This was announced by the Minister of Preschool and School Education.
In recent years, another obligation has emerged among teachers: to collect votes for the "OpenBudget" project. Some are requesting votes for their project, while others are obligated to fulfill management's instructions.
There are situations where teachers spend their extracurricular time constantly collecting votes. Submitting reports every day, thinking about how many people should be encouraged to vote - all this puts unnecessary pressure on teachers.
After the voting process for the "OpenBudget" project began, mass involvement of teachers in this work began again. Therefore, the Minister of Preschool and School Education commented on the situation and said that teachers should contact the ministry if they encounter such situations.
"In recent years, we have been fighting against involving school teachers and preschool education system employees in work other than their own activities, excessive and unjustified gatherings, and the number of appeals on this issue has decreased significantly compared to previous ones.
However, there are officials in the system who sometimes set incorrect requirements for the team, give instructions to collect funds for various purposes, in a word, they still think in the old way.
Recently, we terminated the employment contract with the director of one of the schools in the Kuva district, who demanded deductions of 700,000 soums from the teachers' monthly salary for voting in "OpenBudget."
Today, the voting stage for the "Participatory Budget" projects began. This project attracted attention in a short period of time due to its openness, increasing the participation of citizens in the budget process. Let's not overshadow these positive reforms by involving teachers and education workers in mandatory voting and collecting money from their salaries.
I want to remind you once again that we will never compromise with such cases as involving teachers in work that is not part of their duties, collecting funds for various purposes.
"Dear educators, if you encounter such situations, contact the ministry, we will study each case and protect the interests of teachers and preschool staff," the minister said.
