The President presented the schoolboy with a personal phone and other items.
On December 17, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Nurzamon Almazbekov, a 4th-grade student of the "Aydin-Kul" primary school in the village of Koo-Chaty, Kara-Kulcha district, Osh region.
This meeting was triggered by a video that sparked widespread discussion on social media. The video depicted a young student wading through a nearly one-meter thick layer of snow, heading towards school despite the difficulties. This report did not go unnoticed by President Sadyr Japarov and personally received the reader.
"Seeing you go to school like this reminded me of my childhood. When you were young, I used to trudge through deep snow to school. Our village was Keng-Suu - my small homeland. In those days, it would snow half a meter, sometimes even up to a meter. At that time, there were no tractors, and there was no equipment to clear the roads. In such conditions, we would walk to school like you. Seeing you reminded me of my childhood. "Well done, my child," the president said.
According to the president, in those years the snow sometimes reached half a meter, sometimes a meter, but this did not prevent children from going to school.
During the meeting, the President inquired about Nurzamon's studies, daily life, and interests. When the boy said that he was interested in football and played as a striker, the President praised this positively:
"Are you an fotbool attacker? Well done. So, something will definitely come of you. "If you work hard, if you strive forward, there will be results," he said.
The President presented Nurzamon with a laptop, a soccer ball, and a book. The President also handed over a student's personal mobile phone, noting that if these technologies are properly directed towards learning, they will open up great opportunities:
"This phone is not a simple toy. In it, you can learn, make videos, learn new things. "The most important thing is to use it for knowledge," the president said.
At the end of the meeting, the President wished Nurzamon success and once again emphasized that determination and hard work are the most important factors in the pursuit of knowledge.
