Violence against children is strictly prohibited in educational institutions. Parents may also be prohibited from using corporal punishment in raising children.
This is stated in the draft law aimed at regulating relations in the field of protection of children from all forms of violence.
At the session of the Legislative Chamber on February 27, this draft law was conceptually considered and adopted in the first reading.
The draft law prohibits violence against children in educational institutions, any form of violence in educational institutions as a disciplinary measure, including corporal punishment and other cruel behavior or degrading treatment. it is strictly determined that the application of treatment is not allowed.
Also, the participation of parents in protecting children from violence and their obligations are defined. In particular, it is assumed that parents must protect the life and health of children, take care of them and protect them from information that has a harmful effect, it is prohibited to physically punish children while raising them.
"The way we treat a child, the way we educate him, is how we will live in the future. In the first reading, we approved a very important bill aimed at protecting children from violence. In the second reading, we have many proposals aimed at ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the law," Alisher Kadyrov wrote about this bill.
According to the proposed draft law, it is now proposed to issue protection warrants to children. The warrant is issued by the authorized body to the legal representative of the victim of violence or to another person who took the child into his care and to the victim of violence.
The draft law was conceptually adopted unanimously by the deputies in the first reading. The Committee of Democratic Institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations and Citizens' Self-Governing Bodies of the Legislative Chamber was tasked with preparing the bill for the second reading.
