A 15-year-old boy living in Bukhara region filed a complaint against his mother to the children's ombudsman.
It is said that M.M.'s mother has been oppressing him for a long time, so since 2023, the child has been living separately from his mother under the care of his grandmother. M.M. he said that his father was deprived of his freedom because he did not fulfill his alimony obligations on time, and he asked for practical help in preventing his sister and himself from being placed under the care of his mother.
Based on the request of the children's ombudsman, the social situation of this family was thoroughly studied by the National Agency of Social Protection. In particular, the "Insan" social service center of Jondor district of Bukhara region, during the investigation of the situation, based on the conclusion that the grandmother, not the mother, can provide the best interests of the child, the grandmother was officially appointed as the guardian of M.M. and her sister.
The social issues of this family will be under the supervision of the Children's Ombudsman and officials in the future, and appropriate assistance measures will be taken in necessary cases.
