Hilola Umarova made a presentation to the President on education reform 5 months after she was appointed as the Minister of Preschool and School Education.

After that, on January 26 of this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again got acquainted with the presentation on measures to improve the quality of school education.

It was noted that the training centers work in the old way and their scientific potential is not high. Therefore, the task of reviewing the activities of such centers in 14 regions was set. Also, a task was given to launch a platform for monitoring the activity of educational organizations and the quality of education.

Yesterday, on March 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again got acquainted with the presentation of plans for the development and improvement of the quality of school education.

In the presentation, proposals were put forward on a number of topical issues.

The first proposal: "Councils of science" will be established on a public basis under the Presidential Agency of Educational Institutions. These councils are involved in developing educational programs, improving the evaluation system, and improving the professional skills of teachers.

The second proposal: starting teaching subjects in English in 14 schools from the next academic year, plans to build 8 new specialized schools in 2025-2026 were also announced.

The third proposal: Master classes are organized in creative schools with the participation of famous writers and public figures. Creative works of students will be published at the expense of the Writers' Union. Talented young people are supported by various auditions.

The fourth proposal: A center for preparing students for Science Olympiads will be established. Advanced scientists and foreign specialists are involved in it, and each student is specially prepared through the development program.

Based on the final results of the participants in the international Olympiads, a system of encouraging the leader of the national team will be established. A single Olympiad calendar and preparation system will be created, reflecting all science Olympiads. Along with the main training sessions, psychological trainings and joint training sessions with other teams are held.

The fifth proposal: In the final state certification, i.e. in school graduation exams, students' knowledge was evaluated on the basis of uniform control materials. Exam tasks are transferred to a written and practical form, the practice of checking answers through a special platform is established, questions are constantly updated.

Sixth proposal: In the school graduation exams, it is possible to choose a subject suitable for entrance exams to a higher education institution. Bringing the general secondary education system to a new level, ensuring its proportionality with higher education.

The seventh proposal: In creative schools, the subject "Art" will be introduced instead of "Fine art and drawing". Not only painting, but also painting, crafts, cinematography, sculpture and design skills are taught. In higher educational institutions, the system of advisers in this regard is connected with the Ministry of Culture, and the status, charity, and theater heritage are conveyed to young people.

Also, ensembles are formed under large enterprises and clusters, concerts are organized in neighborhoods, cultural days are organized in schools.
