A pedagogue working in one of the schools in the Zomin district of the Jizzakh region was dismissed from his position and fined 6,800,000 soums for raising his hand to a student. This was reported by the Children's Ombudsman.
It is known that the children's ombudsman received an appeal from the mother of the student who was beaten. In the appeal, the mother said that on December 26, 2023, the teacher of the school where her child studies, S.M. said that he slapped the child's face several times and insulted him with various inappropriate words.
After that, based on the request of the Children's Ombudsman, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education studied this situation in detail. The situation was investigated by the relevant specialists of the MMT department of the Zomin district of the Jizzakh region, and based on the order of the director of the general secondary education school, the employment contract concluded with the teacher was canceled.
Also, on January 23 of this year, the Zomin District Court made a legal assessment of the teacher's actions and found him guilty of Article 41 (insulting) and Article 52 (inflicting minor bodily injury) of the Civil Code. 6 million 800 thousand soums was imposed.
"Cases of inappropriate treatment and violence against children in educational institutions cannot go unanswered," said the report of the Children's Ombudsman.
