The Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan presented information about the highest and lowest paid industry representatives in 2024.
According to the data provided by the Statistics Agency, the lowest ranks were occupied by representatives of the education sector, whose average salary was 3 million 434 thousand soums.
The education sector is always at the lowest level compared to other sectors in terms of average monthly salary. The average salary in these fields remains significantly lower than the average monthly salary in the country.
The highest indicator of the average monthly salary in the main sectors of the education sector was observed in higher education (7.9 million soums), and the lowest indicator was observed in preschool education (1.8 million soums).
The highest average monthly salary in the field of education is in Tashkent city (5.5 million soums), Namangan (3.4 million soums) and Navoi regions (3.4 million soums). recorded.
For information, the highest indicator of the average monthly salary in terms of types of economic activity - banking, insurance, leasing, credit and brokerage activities - 13.2 million amounted to soum.
In particular, the average monthly salary in one of the branches of the industry, in the auxiliary activity of providing financial services and insurance, is 17.4 million soums, which is the highest indicator compared to the rest of the branches.
We remind you that according to the data of 2023, the number of teachers whose monthly salary exceeds 6 million soums is 25,697, which is 5% of the total number of teachers. That is, the remaining 95 percent of the contingent of teachers may be receiving the minimum salary stipulated by the State Statistics Agency.
According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 196 of November 17, 2023, starting from December 1, 2023, wages, pensions and social benefits will be increased by 7%.
