The name of the A. Avloni training institute was changed for the 13th time

As you know, recently the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to improve the system of continuous professional development of employees of preschool and school education organizations" was signed.
With this decision, the National Institute of Pedagogical Skills named after A. Avloni was established on the basis of the national research institute for professional development of pedagogues named after A. Avloni and training in new methods.
In general, the name of this training institute has been changed several times, and its goals and tasks have been defined.
The national research institute for professional development of pedagogues and training in new methods named after A. Avloni is the largest teacher training institute in Uzbekistan. Initially, the institute was founded in 1934 under the name of the Institute of Personnel Qualification of Public Education.
Later, the name of the institute was changed to the following names
- Since 1934, the Institute of Personnel Qualification of Public Education;
- Since 1941, the Republican Institute of Teacher Training;
- Since 1945 - the Republican Institute of Teacher Training named after K. D. Ushinsky;
- Since 1964, the Central Institute of Teacher Training and Retraining named after K. D. Ushinsky;
- Since 1992 - the Central Institute of Education of Public Education Workers named after A. Avloni;
- Since 2001, the Central Institute of Retraining and Qualification of Public Education Workers named after A. Avloni;
- Since 2003, the Institute of retraining and professional development of pedagogues named after A. Avloni;
- Since 2004 - the Central Institute of Education of the Leaders of Public Education named after A. Avloni;
- Since 2006 - the Central Institute of Retraining and Qualification of Public Education Workers named after A. Avloni;
- Since 2017, the Institute of Retraining and Advanced Training of Leaders and Specialists of the Public Education System named after A. Avloni;
- In 2019, an offer was made to establish the Academy of the Ministry of Public Education named after A. Avloni (this offer was not implemented);
- From 2020 - A. Avloni Research Institute for Studying the Problems of Public Education and Determining its Prospects;
- From 2022 - National research institute for professional development of pedagogues and training in new methods named after A. Avloni;
- From 2024, the National Institute of Pedagogical Skills named after A. Avloni was established.
The main tasks of the Institute were also determined by the President's decision PQ-231 dated June 21, 2024 "On additional measures to improve the system of continuous professional development of employees of preschool and school education organizations".
We remind you that at the same time reconstruction works are being carried out at the national research institute named after A. Avloni, located in Almazor district of Tashkent city. The institute is being completely renovated on the basis of the most modern technologies.
In the future, it is planned that the institute will have a modern educational building, classrooms equipped with the latest technologies, accommodation with all conditions, and its own school for internships.
