Presidential Decree "On measures to improve the system of public administration in the field of preschool and school education" (No. UP-98, 02.07.2024)
According to the decree, the activities of the Agency for Preschool Education (the Agency) were terminated, and the organizations of the Agency's organizational structure were transferred to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has been assigned the following additional functions, including:
- creation of conditions for the comprehensive intellectual, moral, aesthetic and physical development of preschool children, taking into account advanced foreign experience;
- introduction of modern innovative pedagogical technologies, effective forms and methods of education and upbringing into the process of preschool education and upbringing;
- improvement of curricula, programs and educational and methodological complexes of preschool education, ensuring their continuity with general secondary education programs;
- ensuring the gradual coverage of all children with preschool education by creating a healthy competitive environment between state and non-state preschool educational organizations.
