From the new academic year, computer science will be introduced in the 3rd grades.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education signed an order approving the basic curricula for general secondary education institutions for the 2025-2026 academic year.

By this order, starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, the subject "Computer Science and Information Technologies" is being introduced in the 3rd grade of general secondary educational institutions.

At the same time, the National Institute of Pedagogical Mastery named after A. Avloni will organize short-term online training courses on the content of the subject "Computer Science and Information Technologies" for primary school teachers of general secondary educational institutions until August 20, 2025.

To the territorial departments of preschool and school education:

• ensuring the participation of primary school teachers in short-term training courses organized in connection with the introduction of the subject "Computer Science and Information Technologies" in primary grades of general secondary educational institutions;

• Coordination of the implementation of the tasks defined in the basic curriculum and its explanatory note in general secondary educational institutions during the 2025-2026 academic year;

• Conducting explanatory work in general secondary educational institutions on the development of workload tariffs and class schedules for institution employees based on the basic curriculum for the 2025-2026 academic year;

• By August 30, 2025, tasks were assigned to convey to each educational institution the essence and content of the innovations and explanatory letter in the basic curriculum for the 2025-2026 academic year, as well as to organize promotional work at meetings of the pedagogical council.

We remind you that the subject "Computer Science and Information Technologies" in grades 1-2-3 is aimed at developing students' logical and systematic thinking, therefore this subject is taught by primary school teachers and in grades 5-11 by teachers of the subject "Computer Science and Information Technologies."

In this case, the teaching hours for this subject are distributed based on the sequence of indicators established in paragraph 15 of the Regulation on the Procedure for Completing Classes and Forming Tariff Lists in General Education Institutions (registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 30, 2020, registration No. 3271).
