The head of state inspected the 2nd specialized boarding school in Andijan.
This institution was built last year at the expense of 50 billion soums from the state budget. It has 504 seats and specializes in in-depth teaching of science and natural sciences in grades 5-11. Pupils are admitted to the school from all cities and districts of the region on the basis of an exam.
The boarding school has more than 60 study and computer rooms, foreign language classes, and a laboratory. Also, a 222-bed dormitory, kitchen, and gym are modernly equipped.
The president talked to the teachers here. Instructions were given to ensure consistency between the upper classes of the school and the university programs, to direct more practice to young people without wasting time on repetitive lessons. In general, it was emphasized that a new environment for education, upbringing and spirituality should be brought to schools.
The head of state also visited the Universal sports complex being built in Andijan. Currently, a closed hall for four thousand spectators has been built. It will be possible to hold competitions in several sports. In particular, some matches of the World Futsal Championship will be held here this fall.
The large complex will also have a swimming pool, a cafe, and a restaurant. Conditions will also be created for skill schools of famous athletes. Trainings are conducted in connection with sports federations and institutions of higher education. It was said that it is necessary to use the complex efficiently and introduce modern management.
