1st, 5th and 7th graders died in a car accident

On April 15 of this year, the driver of a Gentra car, who was driving at high speed in the area of "Oktom" neighborhood of Gallaorol district of Jizzakh region, lost control of the steering wheel and hit the 5th and 7th graders who were moving in the opposite direction towards the school.

Children died in a car accident. In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 266, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a preventive measure of imprisonment was applied to the driver in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

"I was coming at 100 speed. I lost control. It was raining on the asphalt road. The back of my car was broken. I couldn't adjust the steering wheel because I was afraid. I hit the children," says the driver.

Also, on April 19, in the Shahrisabz district of the Kashkadarya region, a 1st-grade student was killed when a high-speed "Damas" car hit him while returning from school.

As it turned out, O. I., a student of the 1st "B" grade of the 11th school in the city of Shahrisabz, came to school on April 19, 2024 and fully attended classes. At 12:35 p.m., he was hit by a high-speed "Damas" car while crossing the sidewalk near the school house.

The student was immediately taken to the emergency department of Shahrisabz city. He died despite the first aid provided.

It is noted that a criminal case was initiated against the driver under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code. The driver was taken into custody.
