22 specialized boarding schools of the sanatorium type will be transformed into secondary schools

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 1, 2024, a Working Group consisting of specialists from the National Agency for Social Protection, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the Ministry of Health was formed to inventory and review the activities of sanatorium type schools.
In total, the working group conducted an inventory of 22 specialized boarding schools of the sanatorium type and identified a number of shortcomings.
Therefore, it was proposed to transform 22 specialized boarding schools of sanatorium type into secondary schools. Here:
Establishing 166 "extended day groups" in each general education institution for more than 4 thousand children and maintaining free meals for children from low-income families, orphans and children temporarily living with relatives;
organization of inclusive classes and involvement of 42 children requiring special conditions of education;
replenishment of tutors (assistant teachers) assigned to these classes at the expense of the staffs released as a result of the transformation of specialized sanatorium type schools into general education schools;
to continue working in inclusive classes of general secondary schools operating in general secondary schools throughout the country, including those close to the child's permanent residence, with the involvement of 42 children from specialized boarding schools of sanatorium type requiring special and special conditions.
Now, by August 1, 2024, the order of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education on the transformation of 22 specialized boarding schools of the sanatorium type in the republic into general education schools will be approved and information will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Also, the following work will be carried out to transform the specialized boarding school of the sanatorium type into a general education school:
organization of inclusive classes close to the area of permanent residence of children required to study in each general educational institution and in special conditions;
maintaining free meal services in extended groups for children from low-income families, orphans and children temporarily living with relatives;
staff units of tutors (assistant teachers) assigned to inclusive classes of general education schools established on the basis of specialized boarding schools of sanatorium type are allocated from the account of staff units released as a result of the transformation of specialized schools of sanatorium type into general education schools;
staff units released as a result of the transfer of specialized sanatorium type schools to general education schools are transferred to institutions of the Agency system.
