In 2025, strict control will be established over the timely payment of salaries and allowances to teachers

On December 27, 2024, the 15th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Educational and Scientific Workers of Uzbekistan was held.

Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education T.Komilov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Sh.Daliev and representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan took part in the meeting held with the participation of the Chairman of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Uzbekistan R.Bedilov.

In it, the heads of the territorial management bodies of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, agencies, subordinate organizations and educational institutions, as well as the responsible organizers of the Republican Council for the regions, the chairmen of the Tashkent city department and district and city councils were instructed to establish strict control over the timely payment of allowances and other payments related to wages of employees in organizations and institutions during 2025, to immediately contact higher authorities if violations of the rights of employees are detected.

The following instructions were also given at the meeting

Establishment by the preschool and school education departments of a schedule of vacations for 2025 for managers included in the nomenclature and signed an employment contract as an employer, and submission of a copy to the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Uzbekistan by January 10, 2025;

To organize meetings at a high level to discuss the implementation of regional sectoral collective agreements and collective agreements in 2024 in all organizations and institutions at the level of districts and cities by April 1, 2025, with further increasing the responsibility of employers;

Provide comprehensive support by employers to the chairmen of primary trade union committees operating on a voluntary basis in organizations and institutions;

Ensure the personal participation of the head of the district and city RCMD and the chairmen of the district and city councils of the Trade Union of Educational and Scientific Workers in all meetings dedicated to the implementation of collective agreements in 2025, as well as answer all questions regarding the labor rights of employees.

At a meeting held by the Executive Committee of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Educational and Scientific Workers of Uzbekistan, the work plan of the permanent commission on social and labor issues at the sectoral level for 2025 was also approved.

The work plan for 2025 defines the following

Control over the creation of decent working conditions in educational institutions and occupational safety and sanitary-hygienic issues;

Achieve a schedule of holidays for employees of the education system and monitor their timely use of the right to leave;

Take measures to implement appropriate explanations and promotions to prevent the termination of labor contracts concluded with employees in violation of the legislation;

Providing instructions on the proper execution of orders;

Awarding employees and trade union activists who work effectively in the system with the badges "Xalq ta'limi a'lochisi" and "Xalq ta'limi fidoiysi";

Development and submission of proposals to the relevant ministries and departments on draft legislative acts adopted in the field of labor and the education system.

During the meeting, a report on the results of the year was read. Also, Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education T.Komilov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Sh.Daliev and representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan presented their annual reports.

Following the meeting, a joint resolution of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Uzbekistan was signed to ensure the implementation of the main collective agreement.
