Are there any fraudulent games in the certification?

Recently, against the backdrop of the processes related to the certification of teachers, a large number of controversial messages have been circulating on social networks. The editorial office of Xalqtaliminfo.uz also received about 500 appeals from pedagogical workers.

In particular, despite the fact that the candidate who took part in the qualification exams in Samarkand had already left the test process, the video of him standing inside the online broadcast and another candidate using his phone in the Andijan region caused many objections.

One of the cases causing many objections is the case of two teachers working on test questions on one computer.

In addition, videos were circulated showing teachers complaining publicly in the building where the certification testing process is taking place, as well as problems with the health of some teachers.

The biggest objections are related to the complex structure of the tests and the answers to the test questions circulating on the Internet.

In order to clarify the situation, Xalqtaliminfo.uz visited the Scientific and Practical Center for Pedagogical Excellence and International Assessment (Tashkent city, Almazar district, Beruniy street, house 83), where test trials are being held for teaching staff, and clarified the above circumstances from the ministry officials themselves.

What happened in Samarkand?

It turned out that in the case in Samarkand, the reason for the malfunction in the online broadcasting system was interruptions and shutdowns in the live broadcast.

When we personally examined the teacher's photos taken during the test and his condition after leaving the exam, it turned out that he scored 52 points and did not pass the attestation.

Why did a teacher use a phone during the test in Andijan?

When we clarified the situation in Andijan where a teacher was found to be using a phone, it turned out that on April 19 of this year, all his results were canceled and he was excluded from the certification for using a phone.

"In fact, to eliminate such cases, we are transparently broadcasting the process live. Sometimes we physically do not have time to monitor the certification process in all regions.

We launched a live broadcast specifically to ensure public oversight. If such a situation is observed again, we would ask public activists to report this to us," said a representative of the ministry.

Why are two teachers testing on the same computer?

In some regions, we witnessed two teachers working on the same test during the certification tests. The teachers also contacted us with a request to explain why such a situation was allowed.

It turned out that the Ministry of Preschool and School Education allowed blind teachers to work on the test together with an interpreter-secretary, since currently blind teachers are also working in schools.

Translator-secretaries were involved to help blind teachers read the tests. The Ministry of Preschool and School Education provided us with photographs showing visually impaired teachers working on tests together with an interpreter-secretary.

Were there mass protests during the certification?

When we studied the video of teachers who are dissatisfied with the process of teacher certification, it was found that this situation is not related to the certification testing process, in fact, this was a situation that occurred last year during the testing process for a management certificate.

Are "Option X" being sold?

Teachers complained about the distribution of test questions during certification, test answers popularly known as "Variant X," and in some cases, test answers being sold.

Officials from the Ministry of Preschool and School Education answered our question: "No, that's not the case. Test questions have never been sold, and this is impossible." According to the ministry official, many people might have had such doubts simply because the general content of the questions matched each other.

However, the ministry official stated that he is ready at any time to justify the fact that such a situation did not occur.

Are the tests in the certification too complex?

In fact, the most common objection from teachers is the extreme complexity of the test questions.

Teachers who participated in the certification tests complain about the lack of time due to the extremely complex structure of the test questions. Some say that the tests are not structured in accordance with the specification.

When we addressed the ministry officials to clarify this issue, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education announced that an expanded press conference will soon be held with the participation of media workers, specialists in the field, testologists, as well as teachers.
